AI photos for fashion ecommerce are useful when they explain the garment and maintain consistent visual direction. Quality is not assessed through one isolated image: check whether each view serves a commercial function and whether the set preserves color, silhouette, texture and brand language.

Define each view's function

  • Main PDP image: quickly recognize product, color and silhouette.
  • Detail: show texture, finishes or an attribute the main view cannot explain.
  • PLP: maintain coherent crops across SKUs and variants.
  • Campaign: add context and narrative without making the product unreadable.

Different garments need different view sets. A buttoned shirt, a sneaker and knitwear raise different questions. The brief should state what the shopper needs to understand and which technical information must come from the catalog, not be inferred from the image.

Review before publication

Use a SKU record with variant, view, destination, physical reference, observed difference, correction and status. Test desktop and mobile crops. An attractive image that hides the main attribute is not yet ready for that role.
