A product photo and a campaign image serve different purposes. One explains the garment; the other gives the collection a setting, an attitude and a story. The LEO productions in our AI swimwear and underwear portfolio show how those two roles can work together. The images illustrate a production approach, not a measured sales result for an individual photograph.

Studio: establish the product

Front and back views make the silhouette and coverage easier to compare. On the turquoise shorts, they show the length, waistband and coral-colored print. Consistent lighting and framing help the viewer read the collection without confusing a change of pose with a change in construction.

The studio set establishes a visual reference for the garment. It also helps the team compare color, print placement, waistband and drawstring across the images before approving the final delivery.

Campaign: give the collection a setting

The image in the sea adds water, light and a relaxed gesture. The garment remains identifiable, while the scene introduces a summer mood suited to a campaign or social post.

The campaign with two models beside a beach vehicle adds interaction and a wider story. Its composition needs its own crop plan: adapting it to a vertical placement should not accidentally cut off the second model or obscure the product.

What stays consistent and what can change

Keep the garment's base color, print, construction and visible details consistent with its reference. Preserve the selected model's identity and proportions. Background, pose, expression and framing can vary when they serve a defined visual direction.

A different setting is useful when it adds a new role to the collection. Repeating the same garment image against another background is not automatically a stronger campaign.

Plan both sets before production

  • Select the SKUs and color variants that need descriptive catalogue views.
  • Identify the products that will also lead the campaign.
  • Define the setting, acting and references to approve.
  • Reserve space for copy where the placement needs it.
  • Specify desktop, mobile and social crops.
  • Name final files by SKU, variant, view and version.

A beach scene will not suit every swimwear brand. The direction should follow the collection and audience. Evaluate commercial performance with actual campaign and store data; appearance alone does not establish a conversion lift.
