AI underwear photography: how to review lace, elastics and skin
Practical criteria for approving underwear images: garment fidelity, anatomy and consistency between views.

AI underwear photography needs three separate checks: garment fidelity, believable anatomy and consistency across the session. A strong result in one cannot compensate for a failure in another. Our swimwear and underwear productions show examples from LEO and LEONISA for reviewing those details.
Begin with the right reference
Use the same SKU and color variant to verify garment construction. A model reference establishes identity; it does not establish the shape of a bra, a waistband or a lace panel. If the product reference does not show a necessary detail, resolve that gap before approving it.
Describe feedback by image and location. “The lace border changes along the left edge” gives the team a specific issue to correct. A general request to make an image more realistic can miss the actual defect.
Lace: pattern, borders and transparency
Check pattern scale, edges and panel placement against the product. Transparency must follow the reference, rather than becoming stronger or weaker simply because the pose changes.

Compare front and back together. Straps, closures and panel borders should remain coherent across views. A credible rear image can still be wrong if it describes a different product from the front.
Waistbands, panels and branding
Review elastic width, seam paths, panel boundaries and functional features. For logos and labels, check three things separately: artwork, position and orientation, and size relative to the garment.

A detail image should explain the product. It also exposes mismatched stitching, distorted branding or a pocket opening that disappears between views.
Skin and anatomy: natural, consistent and believable
Skin should retain natural texture without a plastic finish. Face and body should belong to the same identity, with coherent tone and proportions throughout the session. Adding arbitrary blemishes does not make an image more accurate.
Inspect hands, fingers, wrists and contact with the garment. Duplicated limbs, merged fingers or impossible fabric contact block approval, regardless of the quality of the rest of the image. Check seated and rotated poses especially carefully.
Three passes before delivery
- Product: compare each view with the correct SKU and variant.
- Person: check identity, skin, anatomy and proportions across all images.
- Delivery: inspect the full-size files and the thumbnails used on mobile.
A small preview can hide an error that becomes obvious at full size. The final check must include both.
